BDP-CX7000ESを使い倒す！[7]リージョン設定・その後

「あったらいいな」は要らないもの
「ないと困る」は要るもの。(^_^;

腑に落ちなかったので、販売業者に「そんなリージョンの組み合わせがあるなんで記述がなかったじゃないか！Blu-ray Zone A + DVD region 2で使いたいんだけど、その設定に出来ないなら返品していい？」と聞いてみました。

This is a standard for all blu ray players,
Zone A is always separated because it is an NTSC format
Zone B is PAL and NTSC, I understand that you use region 2 also NTSC because in Japan siganl, but you can still use the player just fine.
There are only 20% bd discs that are coded for zone A, the rest is not coded at all, so it will work in zone B/C settings, try your BDs.
Like I said this is a standard that we do not control, it is set by the manufacturer SONY.
Settings can not be changed to A region 2, all blu ray players are the same with the same settings.

・世の中にあるBlu-rayのうち、リージョンA固定なのは20%程度だから、リージョンB&Cの設定でも大半は困らないよ

リージョンA固定の20%ってほぼ日本なのでは...
いや別にBlu-rayのリージョンがA固定ってのは支障ないんだけど、付随してDVDのリージョンが1固定ってのは支障ありまくり。

業者の言い分だと、Blu-ray:A, DVD:2のリージョン設定はないように見受けられるけど、日本の機器は全部それなんだけどなぁf^_^;)

日本だけ独自のファームウエアってか？
だから同じ機械でも$200と3.5万円の差があるの？？？
そんなアホな.......


ま、開き直って業者を信じてみるか。
何枚かのBlu-rayがダメでもDVDは全部大丈夫なんだから、リージョンフリー設定のDVDチェンジャーと思うことにします。
